Need planting ideas.. Border

I am in zone 8 and need plant ideas for a area in the front of my house. This will be in a sitting area, but I don't need privacy, just to make a border.

I will be building some chairs to go on this patio soon, but for now need plant ideas.. I am in zone 8b, if i did my research right.. preferably low maintenance plants this area is also in 100% sun.

Thanks for the help!

I like dividers. I'm not sure which flowers/plants exactly, but, I'd put small wooden/white garden fence and then a row of whatever flowers/plants you choose centered.

Not the subject but I don't like the fire hazard that close to the house.

If a perennial is what you are wanting in that location do a little research of Boxwood to determine if it will do well in your zone. In my opinion a evergreen Boxwood hedge would look good there and can be maintained at just about any height you would like. Also normally has some winter interest in some areas.
