I regraded a small portion of my yard a tad yesterday. We'll see how it turns out this friday when the forecast calls for rain. Thanks.

digging a pit sounds like a very temporary solution that will only disappoint you during the next big storm.

You can build that drywell if you wnat to. But don't put rocks inside, instead put a sump pump inside to pump the water to that hole to the street.

Stick to your lawn watering schedule until it really starts to pour. After the storm you have only the same number of rest days you always had and then you need to start watering again.

The gravel goes around the drywell. However, I would never put a sump pump outside.
