Does anyone know of any landscape edging that you can just drive into the ground? We have some flower beds that go back to the fence that surrounds our yard, so digging out from the bed to install the edging is not an option. The beds have some very nice perennials quite close to the back edge so digging in isn't too desirable either.
There is a metal edging that installs with flat spikes through a cutout in the edging. It is a fairly heavy gauge steel, about four inches wide and comes in sections about twenty feet long. I would think that if your ground is not too rocky, etc you would be able to drive it into the soil to whatever depth you prefer.
This is more of a commercial product so you will probably not find it at your local box store. Check with a professional landscape supplier.
If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right. If you wouldn't put your name on it, it ain't done right!
