I need to kill this!

I moved into a house about 2 years ago and the fence by my driveway was completely covered in a vine. During the winter me and my wife completely removed all of the vine we could see. Within 2 weeks the vine was already half way back up the fence. I dug out a couple of the main roots I could find and now the vine is popping up all over my back yard. I have tried nearly every weed killer out there and nothing is working. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I've been using this stuff for years. It seems to kill everything and last a long time.

Careful. You may need a license to buy and use the stuff in some states. I believe, like Boron for creeping charlie, it is completely banned in some states. It will do the job though. It can render soil sterile for a long time though so be very careful about runoff and possible damage if within tree drip lines. I would certainly have protective clothing on when putting it on. Get yourself a disposable tyvek suit at the paint store or something.

I think we use things like RoundUp too casually too but if you combine spraying with painting the concentrate on stumps you will get the vines under control. It may take diligence and some time though. Be patient. Buy a dedicated 2 gallon plastic tank sprayer and mark it for herbicides only. $20?

You obviously cannot dig these out since they grow too close to the fence.
