Re: greener lawn question.

May want to take some soil samples to be tested. It'll tell you what nutrients your lawn needs.

That is what the soil testing will tell you.

Nitrogen will green it up fast.

Re: greener lawn question.

Cool season grasses go dormant when it gets hot. Lots of water is all you can do.

I don't understand the problem with the sprinklers. Turn one off, turn the other one on. Why do you have to unplug? Maybe you need another hose or a Y-adapter?

I have a simple shutoff valve on the end of my house. I can switch from my power washer to my sweeper nozzle to my sprinkler with a quick quarter turn. I never have to run back to the house and turn that spigot handle 100 times. I recommend it.

Re: greener lawn question.

Ok, here is my setup for my front lawn.

I have 2 spike sprinklers on each corner in the front.

I run 2 separate hoses to them and have them on a timer. my water pressure is only good enough for 1 sprinkler at a time so I have them on seperate channels and one runs for its specified time then after about a minute of it being off the other one starts. no interaction needed from you once you set it up. This timer gives you 2 automatic valves and a third manual valve that you can use without having to unhook everything.

Iron will green it up, without speeding up the growth.
