Granules, pest control, for new Bermuda lawn

We have a 1 month old Bermuda sod lawn, new construction house, with bugs all over the yard. (I know there are bugs in the yard, but this new construction neighborhood seems to be "fresh.") You can see them when you just walk through the yard, and especially when the kids are playing on the swing set in the back.

We have called a quarterly pest control company that also sprays a 6 foot barrier to the house.

But what about buying those granules from Lowes/Home Depot and sprinkling them in the yard. How do those work? Will they damage the Bermuda sod? Any other suggestions?

This one is an example:

Good luck trying to get rid of all the bugs.
99.9% of them are doing no one any harm.
That same exterminator should be able to spray the whole yard.

Yes, I realize that. I am thinking about this because this new construction neighborhood has twice the amount of bugs crawling around -maybe due to all the new digging, etc.

The package will say if it will damage a lawn or not. Bugs are just bad this year in a lot of places, the granules have not helped in our area at all.

Joe is right how is the pest control guy not offing to spray it.
