Glyphosate mixed with - gasp! - Dicamba? Heresy or no?

I ran across some glyphosate mixed with dicamba.

I understand it's been sold to farmers to use on crops where the weeds have gotten resistant to glyphosate.

Seems to me a bit counter-intuitive, since glyph takes so long and dicamba works in a hurry.

Won't using that combo on non-glyphosate resistant plants defeat the purpose of the glyphosate? Or am I imagining things . . . .

Only if the crop is also dicambra resistant.

Soybeans were not until Monsanto produced a new seed.

It's also been sold here in my very local Home Despot, as a "faster acting" Roundup. I like to kill 'em slow, but complete.
