Easy way to clean leaves from hedge row?

Hello everyone,

In your opinion, what is the easiest way to remove all the leaves from the base of a hedge. This is the type of hedger where there are a ton of stalks groding next to each other. Leaves from the previouys fall have dropped in there and taking them all out by hand may take a long time.

Do you get a strong blower and blow them out? What about one of those blower vacs? Does the vacuum feature work well enough to suck them out?

What do you all do?

I leave them in there to stop weeds from growing and as a mulch for the hedges.
I actually rake some of the lawn leaves into my hedges in the fall.
Short of cutting off a body part, the worst that can happen in woodworking is manufacturing really nice looking kindling. --- Quoted from lenaitch

I agree with this^^^^^^^^^.

Weeds are a big issue here in MN so let some of the leaves sit around my bushes to keep them from growing.

rake as close as you can and let the rest go.
