Early Fall vs Late Fall - ugh

Hello - I recently bought some 'winterizer' fertilizer, I haven't applied it yet so now I'm wondering if I should first apply some type of 'early fall' fertilizer vs the winterizer? I think its still considered early fall for another 3/4 weeks if what I've read is correct.

What type of fertilizer is considered early fall? A turf builder? certianly not a winterizer.

Oh I live in southern NJ.
