Drainage Terrace

I've been getting a lot of water from my neighbor's yard for years. Recently I dug a ditch\terrace near the property line. My plan now is to put some kind of gravel in the ditch and then cover it with mulch.

I was wondering if I should use pea gravel, 3/4" gravel or something else?

Also, will covering it with mulch cause problems? If so, are there any other recommendations on what to cover it with?

Thank you

Ayuh,..... How wide,..??

How deep,..??

How long,..??

How steep is the pitch,..??

Usually bigger rock is better,..... 4" stuff,....

The mulch will rot, leech down, 'n plug the passages through the rocks,.....

Re: Drainage Terrace

The ditch is probably about 2' wide, 60' long and 14" deep.
Thanks

Re: Drainage Terrace

3/4 crushed works good for drainage and a real heavy fabric under the much will keep it clean.
We have place that have this up to 12 ft wide and will cut it to what you need so as not to buy the whole roll.
