Drainage problems!

I would like to place a raised garden bed constructed of cedar planks next to my kitchen window. Mainly because that area of the yard gets the sunlight I need. However, where there had been a garden bed from a previous owner, there's a drainage issue. Everything slopes roasted my house and the soil next to my house is eroding! I put some river rock back there to help keep the remaining soil in place, but I would still like to fix this slope so I can place my garden bed atop it. Any suggestions would be welcome!
