Drainage Ideas

Hi Everybody,

I know this topic has been covered before but I haven't found anything relating to my situation so I'm looking for some solutions.

I recently moved into this house and found that the water negatively drains into a soil bed next to my garage. After a recent rain it appears the stucco and exterior wall is absorbing some of the rain water. Is there anything I can do to the soil bed to help alleviate this issue?

Thanks for your help!

Re: Drainage Ideas

Get rid of the negative slope towards the foundation. This may require regrading of the land.

Remove soft soil or mulch or gravel around the foundation and replace it with lawn soil or hard soil or clay (not sand).

Re: Drainage Ideas

Fill it in with concrete sloped away from the wall. Then use potted plants.
