DG path

I've been working on a short path with a low grade in my backyard. One day a week for an hour. So far I have the bender board frame, weed barrier and 2 inches of base rock installed.

I had to relocate a drainage box and extend/replace a section of the drainage pipe.

Now that it's rained the section over the drainage pipe gets squishy.

I was planning on getting the DG today but now I feel like I should dig that section up to fix the mud puddle.

Should I put drainage sand and gravel in the pipe trench? Should I redo the pipe and it's connections? Or will everything compact well enough over time?

Re: DG path

I hope the pipe has holes to pick up water and I would want it all to be gravel instead of mud.
