Adding a Wireless Sprinkler Timer feature...

I have a 8-zone traditional Toro sprinkler timer, with 8-zones wired. Nothing special. 24V valves, 1 timer in the garage.

I was just able to pickup a wireless 8 channel xmitter/receiver which has 8 relays on it, and the switching contacts exposed.

I am thinking about the simple ways to add this wireless adapter to my sprinkler wiring.

Question: Does anyone see any issues with simple using the relay outputs as a 'toggle switch' which feeds the 24vac to the same terminal as the Toro timer? Essentially, the relay output would be feeding 24v to the valve and ALSO it would be present on the timer zone which is actually OFF. Any issues with externalling feeding 24V to any one of the timer terminals?
