Habitat should take a lot of that. Trash the receptacles and switches- they probably aren't code now anyway. I find it interesting that the big box stores sell all sorts of non-code electrical stuff, even though local codes require updating to current code whenever a device is replaced.
Write to your legislator to ask them to limit liability of nonprofit resellers of these things.
My state exempts ReStore (and all other nonprofit resale stores) from state and local sales taxes. So customers save 9% on top of the great bargain prices. That's probably as far as the state will go to help Habitat.
