Upgrade Closet Baseboards Also?

I have been upgrading all my baseboards as new flooring goes down. I am wondering what others do about closets. I am inclined to leave them as is because they are so hidden and unseen.

She ran off with her boyfriend a few years ago. Still searching for #2, was a little too picky for a while and let a couple of good ones get away.

Re: Upgrade Closet Baseboards Also?

It's sort of a personal choice. I've been pretty slapdash in closets before, and regretted it later. These days I lean toward finishing closets the same as everything else.

Re: Upgrade Closet Baseboards Also?

A few years ago I upgraded a lot of our baseboards to 5 1/2". I did not do the closets simply because of cost but I did 'pretty up' the existing corners and nail fills, sand caulk and re-paint. The trim work in this place was fairly shoddy. Whenever I look at a house to buy (we've done that a lot) I always check the trim and finish on the inside of the closets. To me it's an indicator of the general quality of workmanship.

If you're going to do a job you might as well do it right.

Pretend you're doing the job for someone you respect.
