Sander for Hardwood Floor

I have a 12 x 10 foot room with a hardwood floor that needs to be refinished.

Do you think a good hand sander would be good enough. I'd hare to have to rent a big floor sander for $75 for such a small room.

Suggestions?

a small hand sander will literally take forever and hundreds of sanding discs.. spend teh money on renting the drum sander and you can have the room sanded out in a few hours
