Old Style 30" Countertop Suggestions

Hello. Ive got these rentals and I want to update/redo the countertops but they aren't the normal size. Everyone keeps telling me I can't get the prefabricated. Plus with one of them they said if I used laminate sheets it wouldn't go over the lip. What's the most cost effective way to handle these style countertops without special ordering? I've attached pictures.

Your pictures didn't post---

A better description of the counters would help---I think you are going to have to get custom made for a 30" deep counter---

here is a good and easy/cheap solution.

get prefabed CT's. then build a ledge to fill the gap behind them.

i was actually thinking of doing this with my granite. it would have looked great, imo.
