Re: Need advice on Toilet choice

cadet 3. Has a flapper. Champion four has those silly flush towers that never seem to work properly. Kohlers seem to leak after a few years. Kohlers are awful expense to get genuine parts for. I have a great disdain for anything with the kohler name.
Any bigbox store is going to hurt you real bad.

Re: Need advice on Toilet choice

I'm currently in the process of remodeling a bathroom in my house and I needed to find a good toilet that matched the modern look of my home. I decided to go with the Ariel Platinum Aphrodite. But if you are looking for a more traditional looking toilet I would highly recommend the American Standard Champion 4. I found a pretty good chart that breaks down each toilet well here.

I will add to the comments here on the toilet. Just get an oval shape one with the "gap" in the seat. The guys know that I'm talking about!! Agreed on the Kohler...it works great for us.
