Need advice on feature wall

Hi all,

I am in the process of putting some shiplap on my master bedroom wall but need some advice on what to do with the crown molding on top and baseboard molding. I put some crown molding on the top of the walls throughout the entire bedroom. The ceiling in the bedroom is popcorn so I removed some of the popcorn and put some white caulking to hide the slight gap between the molding and ceiling on top. I would like to know if I need to either put that molding back up, leave it off and put no molding at all or a different molding. Also, the bottom molding is white...again would I put it back on or leave it off. If I do add it back since the wall is going to be grayish should I stain it to the same color as the wall?

Thanks for any advice.

A pic would be helpful. It can look good with or without crown on that wall. How does the crown end on the adjoining walls?

They are mitered to the adjoining walls.

Since it's a mitered cut you'll need to either square it off [if the new wall is thick enough] or otherwise figure out how to end the crown where it looks nice ..... if you don't put the crown up on the accent wall.

Put the crown and baseboard back up.

It looks incomplete without it.
