Is it necessary to have the drywall and ceiling for the attic crawl space?

I am going to have my unfished bonus room/attic finished. There aretwo crawl spaces used for closet in the attic. One estimate will put texture drywall and ceiling as well as baseboard then seal and paint. Another estimate just puts the board on the floor without drywall and ceiling. Do your experts think whether it is necessary to have the wall and ceiling for the attic crawl space and why?

Post is confusing.
#1 Skip texturing anything! Nothing but a pain to clean and to make even a simple repair to.
The scope of work your taking about sounds like two different jobs.
Want a finished room your going to need in most cases to add to the rafters to make room for baffles, and insulation.
No one here knows where you are because it's not included in your profile so it's hard to know how much insulation you need.
Roof needs a ridge vent, there needs to be soffit vents.
Back sides of "crawl space" needs to be insulated and covered with house wrap to stop wind washing.
Posting some pictures would help.
Right now where all going to have to guess what you have going on.

It is two different jobs. I am talking about the knee space/crawl space. The contract has already had "install baffle and ridge vent." Is it the same as you said add to the rafters, soffit vents? If so, my question is whether it is necessary to add the wall, ceiling (sheetrock) and baseboard in the knee space, crawl space or closet storage in the attic?

Probably not needed by code in a Type V non-rated SFR structure

I'd insulate, rock, and finish the interior of the closets for two reasons: 1) it would eliminate thermal gain/loss in those pockets, 2) fire protection.

I would close it, esp as you are paying for it. It is pita space to work in to finish and insulating is a problem, possible ice dam and moisture problems. Access/removal will be problem as well.

I prefer drywall finish. Makes for a nicer space and will help lessen the communication with outside air.
