light switches

Our main kitchen light switch is behind the refrigerator. We have a second switch to the single light above the sink on a wall next to the sink. The sink light is never used do it its awkward position. We'd like to put it behind the refrigerator too so one can either turn on all the lights or just the one upon entering the kitchen. The problem is putting them sided by side put one too far behind the refrigerator to be practical. Our only other choice seems to be to put one above the other, but we don't want to do something that is going to look funny. Are light switches ever placed one above the other?
Thank you for your comments.

Well that makes no since to me.
Not once in 50 years have I seen a switch behind a fridge or can think of a single reason for having one there.
Light switches are placed side by side, not one over the other.

The refrigerator is against an open wall right as one walks into the kitchen, the switch is on the edge of the wall only 3 inches in behind the refrigerator. Perhaps my description made it sound absurd... Thank you for your comment. I did see a 'double switch' advertised, that may make it look more professional.

I'm almost positive they make a SPDT switch. The center position is 'off'. The drawback to this is either one or the other light will be turned on...can't have both lights on at the same time
BTW, did you mean on side of refrigerator ?

The switch is on the wall behind the refrigerator, the refrigerator sits closer to the wall than in the picture, its pulled out for our remodeling.

I would relocate to the other side of wall.
