inexpensive redo of bedroom in mobile home

Hi again,

We remodeled our Master bed next. I didn't want to replace the woodgrain paneling because it is functional for a cabin. It gives the rustic look.

Although the original orange yellow carpet had to go. And it was 30 years old!! The wall boards on the outside were showing wear and weird cuts in it.

This was by far the easiest remodel ever.

We repainted the existing ceiling. WOW What white paint can do to brighten up the place.

Replaced the two outer walls with wallboard. Put new flooring in closet - those inexpensive stick tiles in wood grain.

And I didn't think we could do the carpet ourselves...But if you get the padding w the carpet and carpet tape...it was pretty easy!

All the furniture was bought at thrift resale shops. I paid a whooping $25 for the bed frame. $25 for the end table and $40 for the dresser at an Estate sale. I got lucky with that one since it good quality.
New mattresses- some things are better new. $300 for sale price.

Cost of remodel- carpeting was about $275 with everything on sale.
Two walls about $120 - 6 panels
Ceiling paint about $35 - Got the good stuff. The flooring in closet $0 used leftovers from the bathroom.

New ceiling fan light about $140 New. Light part is not shown.

Time took 2 days- Partly because my handy man was busy hunting part of the day

This shows the lovely oldish yellow carpet.

Idk why the new one shows up pinkish...LOL but it is more of tan brownish mix.

The curtains are actually shower curtains- they close easily and the header hides the rings. I liked the moose/ deer rustic cabin theme.

The color combination from the curtain and beddings are perfect. Also, I like the lamp you have there on top. Such a great design without you spending a big amount of money.

Alexd, thanks!

Well the lamp is old, we had that 80's lamp in our attic at home...it works for night time reading.

Someday it will be back in style.

We have lights on the fan, this picture is before installation.
