Frameless shower glass panel and door question

Hi there, Glass guy installed my shower tempered glass panel and door without using brackets on the panel, He only use silicone on the side wall and bottom to hold a 67.5 inches (height) x 51 inches (width), 3/8 inch thick that sits on tiles. Door has the hinges(brackets). My question is if it is safe and strong enough for silicone to hold that size of a glass. I questioned him about the bracket but he told me that he is been installing glass for so many years without brackets this way.

Thanks in advance,

Robin

Here are the pictures, The Chrome plates on top with tape are just temporary that needs to be removed after 24 hours. Upon doing my own research from the web, I have seen few installers use this method but again I don't have ease of mind specially I have kids and questioning the stability comparing with brackets and without. Please ignore my temporary blue drape

Thanks

Wow. That's a big piece of glass to have no brackets. And there's no support on the door end of it at all. I think you definitely need another pro to confirm this practice.

I hope it turns out that this is okay, because it looks really cool.

Nice shower.
