Finishing basement with French Drains

Hello All,

I'm stuck on the planning phase on finishing my basement. I'm having two issues......

The first is if I need to take any special precautions when insulating and framing a basement with french drains.

The second is that my wall is too close to the door to the garage, which I find very odd. Anyone have any ideas to what I can do there?

I am really confused by your post. Perhaps you can include a photo or maybe a diagram of your basement and the walls. Also, the term "french drain" means many different things to different people, perhaps you can thoroughly describe what you have that you are calling a french drain.

As far as the term french drain, I have perimeter drains.
Sorry
