Drill 1.25 hole in Support beam?

I am trying to run some low voltage conduit for the entertainment center into the near by storage closet. So all things will be hidden. I have a clear pay there and all the little drywall holes cut.

My only issue is a second floor support beam. Can I drill a 1.25 inch hole through it? Attached is a picture of it, i am concerned because it is many pieces glued together not a solid board.

Thanks,
Sean

Is that picture upside down?
Something just looks wrong to me about the way they tied that engineered joist to the laminated lumber.
Where the support under that huge beam to support the end of it?
There's no blocking in the web to even attach the hanger from.
Make the hole 2' out from the end of the laminated lumber and drill it in the center and there should be no issues.

If you see drywall at the bottom the picture is correct. The wood on top is the 2nd floor of the house.

So drill 2 inch's minimum form edges. Just aim for center is best?

i thought the same thing. but i think it is the other way around = the joist is attached to the beam, as it should be. it just looks funny in the pic.

drilling the hole in the middle is best.

2' not 2" from the outside edge.
