Black wall mirror mastic. Possibly toxic?

Just did a demo of a 1960's era vanity cabinet and removed the plate glass mirror that was glued to the wall. I know there are 9x9 tiles on the floor that are attached with black mastic. I'm curious if you guys think the same mastic may have been used to glue the mirror to the wall?

Here are some pics of what's left:

Re: Black wall mirror mastic. Possibly toxic?

Toxic only if you eat it. You won't sand it smooth, so cut the circles out with a razor knife to the depth of the sheetrock paper, remove them and skim coat the sheetrock.

Cut circles and rip option seems fine. Thanks
