Basement finishing, what to do with conditioned crawl space areas
Planning to begin the process of finishing my basement, and I am unsure what I need to do with conditioned crawl spaces.
Home was built in 2015 and the basement has 2 crawl spaces that are fully encapsulated and insulated (ceilings not insulated). I would like to put walls over these areas with an access door of some kind. Will I need to add HVAC vents and returns inside the spaces, or can I simply install a louvered door or some vent openings at the top of the wall? One of the crawl space areas actually already has an HVAC vent off the main duct trunk.
Re: Basement finishing, what to do with conditioned crawl space areas
The people that promote the sealed crawl space always seem to leave the amount of conditioning and how it should be delivered out of the conversation. If you don't do enough, you will be back to cold floors.
Do not use flat bottom gables with scissor trusses.
