Basement ceiling

Hello all

I'm looking for options for basement ceiling. I'm wanting to stay with the industrial loft look, metals woods concrete etc. cost is also a factor. Lastly I will need access to plumbing wiring over the years. Now the question I was sold on spraying the ceiling flat black for the industrial look but it comes with its own finish concerns and I'm totally unclear about price if I hire someone to spray although I think I like the look Concern is the darkness and basement. I'm not sold on paint so still considering. What are you thoughts or concerns with a corrugated metal roof like the exterior tin roof look. This area will be used as a man cave, pool room bar and non dedicated theatre. I know first is soundproofing. What else would my concerns be. Seems fairly straight forward screw to joist trim etc. additionally I have come across polycarbonate corregated I presume similar to PVC. Come in various colors removable easy. Please let me know your thoughts and concerns

Re: Basement ceiling

screwing any type of panel is going to make the acoustics quite worse than what you have now.

Ok I can def see that I'll rule out the corregated ceiling so I guess I'm back to the paint unless anyone else has another suggestion. I need the headroom, access etc but am open to something else pending cost.

Re: Basement ceiling

I think flat black paint is the best option for the criteria you listed.

You think flat or satin ? I saw one online that had a minor sheen and it looked sharp. Your thoughts?

Re: Basement ceiling

if your care to drop the $$$. you could cut acoustic ceiling tiles to fit between the joissts.
kind of a pita, but it would be a sweet outcome.
