Baseboard on sloped floors

Hi Everyone. I am finishing my basement and I am on to the baseboards. There's around a 2" drop per 8' that I am trying to overcome. Anyone have any suggestions to make this look good? I've attached a picture. As you can see, the baseboard is level, but there's a 2" gap. Quarter round isn't thick enough to cover the gap.

Re: Baseboard on sloped floors

It would likely look best if the baseboard followed the slope of the floor, anything else would point out the difference. You could either cut the base down on the high end or add wood under it at the high end but that would highlight the slope.
