Advice wanted on room addition.
Greetings all. I'm currently undertaking a project where I'm converting a bonus room to a bedroom. There is a current open air entry way into this room (no door), which I want to wall off and install a door. The problem is the perpendicular walls don't quite align ( as in one wall inst quite long enough).

I put together this illustration to help clarify.
The red circle is the problem area. The Green wall doesn't quite extend far enough to be able to extend the Purple wall and have them intersect properly.
Extending the green wall is not an option as it would make that walkway too narrow.

How would you guys go about enclosing this room and adding that door? Let me know if you need clarification.
I appreciate the help!

That illustration will follow in next post. (cant post link in first post on forum)

2x6 bump out on purple wall may give you enough for a jamb and a latch for the door to swing inside and to the green wall. Bevel the door on hinge side and reinstall the stops for maximum closure and cut off the latch side jamb as much as possible.

Assume the top of your image is north and the bottom south.

In my older years I decided I like angles so I would consider building an angled wall from the south side of green to the north side of purple.

A more pleasing option for you may be to build a stud wall that runs from the north side of green to the east side of purple. This would take nor more that 5" of space from the bedroom and would not affect the bed placement.

Also a bedroom needs a closet, The only logical place to build one is north of the green wall so a small hallway could be created to perform either of the options above.
