Need an additional plastic dowel pin

We have a cabinet that needs another of the plastic dowel pin in order to put up a door on the cabinet. Please see picture. Anyone know where I am able to find one? I've looked at local hardware stores and on-line.

Re: Need an additional plastic dowel pin

Looks like a manufacturer proprietitary pin..... (kinda looks like a shelf pin)

Can't quite imagine how that has to do with a door mount... maybe with some pic's someone will have an alternative idea....

The black plastic pins go on the door on the top and bottom and attach to the shelf where the two black arrows are at

Similar pins are available from HD and/or Lowes or Rockler
Google shelf pins.

Re: Need an additional plastic dowel pin

I don't buy from ikea unless I can modify the hardware. Their hardware changes often enough and do not stock replacements for old hardware. I asked and got a blank look. Book shelf pin holes can be drilled out for regular shelf dowels but if the image pin acts as a hinge, you may not be able to rehang the door unless you disassemble the body.
Check the folding door guides for retracting pins or maybe you can drill a wood dowel and epoxy a metal rod into it.
