Idea for interior sliding door

We would like to put a nice looking sliding door in here but now sure where to start, how to make it or where to buy it. I would rather make one but need some pics to get an idea. I tried googling but with not much luck. Any ideas or pics would help. Thanks

Why does that area even need a door?
Google pocket door.

Unfortunate that would not work for us.

Why?
A sliding door is going to take up that whole wall to the right of the picture.
Removing all the studs, adding a long header, a whole lot of sheetrock repairs.
A double French door would be a really simple install.
Just trying to understand your thinking.

Don't want doors that swing open. Might do a barn door.

I would go with a barn door over a pocket door.

You can use just about any door you want for a barn door. Some of the tracks do get a little pricey. You may also need to frame in a header across the opening to have something to attach the track to depending on what you do.

Do you want visual privacy, sound privacy or both? I look at that and think the simplest solution (for visual privacy, at least) would be a curtain on a tension (or permanent) rod. could be a split curtain with fancy tie-backs. As fancy and nice as you might want. Just a thought.
