Deck-to-Mobile Home Skirting Fix

A deck was built for the home where I live before I got here, and it seems that there was a lack of care with respect to the corner where the deck and house skirting meet.

The result of this is that there is inadequate coverage in that corner--and we have had to catch and release upwards of 20 skunks (we're in AZ).

Now, after I catch the one I'm about to catch, I do not want to have to do this again, so what is it that is normally done under such circumstances?

Thanks

Maybe just chicken wire fencing attached inside to close the gap, .

A pic or two would give us a better idea of just what you have and need to do but as Neal said - the opening needs to be closed. Wire, wood, more underpinning - what would work best is hard to say without seeing.

I think that's a good idea...

The issue is that there's nothing to nail the wiring to... the wood that the top of the skirting is nailed to turns out to be particle board that will not survive having anything "nailed" to it.

Agreed.

I'll be getting you some pics soon.

I've tried sharing pictures, but the browser gets stuck on "sending request to wwwDOTdiychatroomDOTcom". It might be because I haven't made enough posts / replies yet (I didn't even have enough to post the link to this site).

Not sure if my previous message went through. I don't see it here. I tried sending photos through, but the browser never got past the "sending request" step. Not sure what that is about. Will try again.

Will do. I've actually been trying to do so for some time.
