The gray conduit comes in 10ft section so every 10 I added a box opening to get in so I can fish my lines thru. My cables i like to get with boots all in stall and just snip one end an fish up the wall to a wallplate an install a Keystone Jacks. So snipping one end will make fishing thru the conduit back words a lot easier starting from the panel and work my way up to each room.

Doesn't make much sense (cost wise) buying premade cables and cutting off one end. Buy your wire in bulk, fish it and terminate both ends. Platinum Tools makes a good terminal tool and the ends for the heavier cat 6 cable.

I'm lucky if I use no more than 200 feet than I'm stuck with 800 feet ? The cable company gave me a brand new box of cable and only use 50 feet that was back in 2013 still collecting dust in the basement.

Re: DIY Network for my Home

I see that the wire is thicker on a 23 AWG than the 24 AWG , Will a CAT6A 23 AWG Shielded Crimp Connectors fit a regular Switch Port {10/100/1000}? Are they all regular size RJ45 connection ?

That's a nice setup and you should be fine on the distance from the power to use just UTP.

It's an internal difference in the plug to accommodate the 23 awg so it will still fit into an RJ-45.
