Testing the charging system

I have a cub cadet that I have replaced the battery 3 times. Runs like a season then have to jump it to start it. Have tried taking the + cable off then touching it to the post, no spark so nothing open.

I was told the charging system is a magneto on the flywheel. Is there anyway to check to see if this is working properly.

Thanks

While it's running you should have at least 13 volts at the battery.
