Heated Handles on Snowblower

I have an 8 HP 2 stage TroyBilt snow blower. Works great and I prefer it to my single stage tractor unit.
I discovered during the last snow storm that the handle(s) are heated.
A really nice feature; especially after the first half hour or so in the blowing cold.
Problem:
Only the left hand heater works. The obvious wires and connections look the same, both sides. Wondering if its worth diagnosing and trying to fix, or if, when it's dead, it's like the car keys dropped into the volcano. (i.e. Forget it man, 'cuz they're gone.")
Any ideas appreciated. And Merry Christmas to all!
Rob

"if" it is possible, switch the connections from one side to the other.
