A little more history would be nice.
How old it it, new to you?
Had a while how's it been running?
When's the last time you tried to start it?

Carb issues. Ethanol issues.

Join the club. Time for a carb cleaning and new carb kit.

Begin trouble shooting by doing what costs nothing first.

Does it have the correct spark at the plug? Does it have compression sufficient to support combustion? Is the spark timing correct? All of those can be checked with nothing but a spark plug wrench, your hands and eyes.

If those check OK, put a half teaspoon of gasoline directly into the carburetor opening. If it fires and attempts to run then your lack of gasoline available is pretty much verified.

Starter fluid ( ether ) and other aerosol propellants to aid in starting often fail when used in the place of gasoline because we have a real poor measuring system with that squirter and often foul the spark plug(s) then we're back to square 1. Use the gasoline and allow the intake stroke to inhale what it needs.

Re: Have a MTD walk behind leaf blower wont start

Hello gents..sorry for the delays. any good video suggestions for how to check the spark?

Information, i just bought this blower about 2-3 months ago from someone online. i did a look over and started it there and worked great. brought home and uesd it. then used it again a week after purchased and worked great.

I watched a few carb clean videos and it looks like the carb should be under the choke control?

tried to start it yesterday to get some leaves moved and fail.
the model is - 24a-652D000
