Because it can...

I had one of the fuel pumps on my duel tank f250 go out right after filling up that tank. Other than "that sucks" I didn't think much about it and just ran off the other tank.

About a year (maybe two) later in the summer that tank came alive and that rotted ethanol fuel started spewing out of the spout down the side of my truck leaving a nice big ugly stain on the asphalt right in front of the customer's business.

I've never seen straight gas do that.

I always drain the e-gas out of my small engines at the end of the season and then run the motor until it dies to get the rest of it out.

Now if this thread wasn't revived you may have never known that after a year or so e-gas can take on a life of it's own and erupt like a volcano and make a big ol mess.

Re: Ethanol Free Gas

But I already knew that ethanol can erupt like that, it ain't called White lightning for nothing.

Besides it will burn the hair off your gullet when consuming it.

Windows on Wash likes this.
