Eager 1 engine.

Got an issue with a Craftsman push mower with a B & S eager 1 motor.
The issue is it's starts every time with one pull and keeps running.
It sat for a year without starting, with no stabilizer, old gas, last user never ran it dry when storing.
How am I going to get out of mowing the lawn if this dam things keep working?

You could stumble over it and break a leg.

I hate that when they leave old gas in it.

Try running over something firmly embedded in the ground. You will at least have a week waiting time to get the crank shaft straightened.

I have that Eager 1 lawnmower too. It's probably 20 years old and as you said it still fires up first pull. I think I found the solution though; I stopped fertilizing the lawn - now I don't have to cut it nearly as often. lol
