Chain saw issue.....

Hello Everyone.....

I am having an issue with my Poulon P3314 chain saw.

It is very hard to get it started, even with priming the motor and choking it at full choke. After I get it started, it is as if it bogs down once it get under load and if it stays pulled down it will kill, then its hard to get it restarted (prime it again and choke it).

Also once I get it started and it is warmed up, it will not sit and idle, it dies. It is almost as if the low idle needs to be adjusted.

Any suggestions?

My repair guy fixed mine with the same symptoms and it was trash in the carb. It was so small that he had to save it on a white napkin and show it to me. It doesn't take much.

Check spark arrestor to see if itís plugged. If it is take a propane torch and burn off the residue and scrape with wire brush if needed.

Ayuh,..... The guy I work for is less than careful with his fuel management, so screwed up chainsaw carbs are pretty common in my life,......

I've found the "Easy" fix is chinese carbs from ebay are the cure,.....
They're cheaper, 'n work as well as the Oem carb kits,..... along with less work for me,.....
