removing stains from concrete

Is there any hope for removing a transmission fluid stain from concrete?

I've tried a solvent like lacquer thinner, and I've tried TSP. All the fluid is gone but the stain remains.

Any way to remove it?

Transmission fluid has a pretty good dyed tinge to it. There are some microbial bugs out there to eat fluid stains, but I don't think they are getting that deep. Is this a garage floor?

it will probably always be there. but, you could put down oil dry, and walk on it, grind it in, for months. did you try brake cleaner ?

I would also look at one of the full flake epoxy coatings.

Re: removing stains from concrete

not much but try this: make a poultice of xylene & distomaceous earth,,, place on the stain & cover w/plain cardboard then plastic sheet over that,,, repeat as necessary
lacquer thinner may have caused the fluid to only soak in deeper so you'll probably need several applications IF it can even be removed

if you can't find the 'earth', try using kitty litter as a substitute
