Concrete shower install, Red Guard and reinforcement

We are installing a concrete shower, have experience building sinks and counter tops. Question, after mudding the pan, applying red guard as instructed we want to install metal cloth on red guarded walls to support the concrete. We are thinking the best way to do this is just attach it on the red guarded walls and then add red guard to the U-nails or what ever we use to attach to the red guarded walls. Thanks, Windsolar
