Winter frost and dryloc

Thanks for this discussion. It has helped me decide to NOT vent my cabin crawlspace which a contractor suggested. One thing I don't understand: When I asked about running plastic up the inner concrete wall from the dirt floor and applying a waterproof barriet such as Dry-Lock, he said to do neither as the winter frost and ice would break through both. He suggested just leaving the walls bare and having passive vents reduce humidity. Any thoughts?

17,000 dryer fires a year, when did you last clean the inside of the dryer near motor or the exhaust ducting?
