Vapor barrier question again

I have insulated a basement with john mansfield bat insulation. I have always heard as well that the vapor or paper side should be against the warm side. In my case the basement is all concrete and unfinished with no ventilation so i placed the vapor barrier down. Can someone please tell me if i have just wasted 2 days insulating the basement ceiling by putting the vapor barrier down. I am in arkansas so the climate is warm with mild winters for the most part. additionally, there was no vapor barrier on the ground since the basement is concreted, walls and floor. thus i thought paper side down for a vapor barrier

What, exactly, are you doing or have you done? Insulated against the concrete walls w/ batting? If so, oops. Same for the floor. If in the ceiling, why? Noise? Warmth? More details will be helpful.
