Insulate garage door

Based on the below photos, is there anything I can do at all to insulate the garage door? The door doesn't have a track but I'm hoping there's something I can do. Fiberglass would've been great but don't think there's anyway I can attach it to the door.

Re: Insulate garage door

Is that door not already insulated? Having that many sections... and no surrounding channels... makes it kind of hard to cover it. You could use thin foil backed fiberglass rolled insulation. The box stores sell it in rolls. Maybe glue on a few pegs to the door here and there to poke through the insulation and glue on some "washers" made of plastic on the foil side to hold it down against the door.

I did my door years ago with 1/2" pink board covered with a layer of the foil backed fiberglass. It made a huge difference. But my door is sheet metal and has channels all around the edges to hold the insulation in place so it was pretty easy. Tedious but easy.

One thing to consider... the insulation will add weight to the door and you will have to compensate. If you have extension springs you'll need a stronger pair. If it's a torsion spring it can be adjusted.

Re: Insulate garage door

Appears to be already insulated based on the smooth panel vs. recessed. Not sure there is much benefit left here to be honest.
