If paper faced is all you can get put the paper up. Rock wool handles moisture better.

But wouldn’t the paper face the ground to block any moisture from hitting the fiberglass? Or am I thinking about that incorrectly? I always thought there should be a barrier of some sort between the ground and fiberglass.

If the paper is exposed to atmosphere, it will absorb moisture from the humidity, and fail sooner than you think.

I would get paperless and cover with plastic sheet, then add a plywood cover to stop those critters.

But I am an OCD about things at times.

Alright. Thanks everyone for all the input. It such a simple idea, insulate a floor, yet so many tiny things to consider sometimes.
