Hold in siding where aluminum siding and flat roof meet

I have a hole in my outside wall where the aluminum siding meets my first floor flat roof. I found it today when I took off the window moulding as I can see the sunshine coming right through the wall. it appears that the aluminum siding curled upwards allowing for the space. i am unsure how the hole got there, maybe a rodent, but I need to close the gaps under the aluminum siding so nothing else gets in there including air. Any ideas on what i should use?

The hole is situated between two studs that are about a quarter inch apart so its too small to fit pink insulation in there but big enough for all the air to come in.

The hole is located such that i cant get a picture of the actual hole so sorry for not showing my situation.

I thought about filling the hole with the gap filler foam from the outside under the aluminum but i am not sure if that's the correct route to go.

Thanks in advance

The label will say if it is, So if what you have is, then seek some that is exposable, and fire retardant.

They make, it for fireplaces, so some of it must be retardant.
