Is garage ventilation too tight a problem?

I don't know, if this subject is good place to write. But I thought it is related to insulation, I want to see if I can get answer.

We have 30year old house with double garage door built on slope.
Garage door has some opening on side, top and bottoms. It was big as 3/4" wide to some area of the opening. We had cold winter and last year, we had mice problem. So, I am trying to seal off any opening in garage door.

I have purchased 3/8" thick wood like material with rubber seal on one side to side and top of door. Now, it sealed well and don't see any light coming through. But ever since, installing this threshold, garage seem very warm.

I am not sure, if we need to ventilate?

We have freeze and refrigerator running 24hours and maybe heat is coming from there.

But it is definitely warm prior to installing this threshold.

The fridge and freezer will add heat, if you want more air I would install a vent or two that could be closed and keep the critters out.
