Floor Truss insulating

I have read many of the threads on insulating a room above a unheated garage and they have been helpful but I have not seen mention of insulating when the ceiling/floor above is 16" 2x4 floor trusses and not joists.
Im considering treating the trusses like wall cavities and cut jigs to use cut the fiberglass insuation in the triangle shapes that match the trusses since they are 3 1/2" wide. that way the truss would be fully insulated from the bottom to the top of the truss and then come back and place batts between the trusses.

Any thoughts?

I have no info as I have not seen this floor done, but cut shapes to fit in the holes will leave the batts 90* to the heat, I don't think you want to do that.

Re: Floor Truss insulating

Not the expert in this area but I think the problem with the trusses is the continuous structure (which would conduct the cold), not the air space in the web.
